Reiki Attunement — The Story Goes That It Was Rediscovered In The 19th Century By Mikao Usui.

What exactly is a reiki attunement? You will become connected with the source energy of creation through an attunement.

Reiki (spoken: Ree-Kii) is the expression for the universal life energy, and comes from Japanese.

In reality Reiki, being very old cure, was known way back, and was actually written in the old Sanskrit Sutras more than 2500 years ago. It was rediscovered once more by Mikao Usui. By gently laying ones hand on, or slightly above, the body, this is how Reiki is given to oneself, or to others. The one who is the giver of the reiki-energy, is called the channel, and through the hand this energy is given to the receiver.

Reiki, relaxing and pleasant, works nicely on a physical level. It creates confidence in oneself, and in others on the emotional level. It helps to strengthen the zest for life. On the mental level it works, helping you to cope with everyday stress better.

Today the new forms of reiki are many. You will find Komyo Kai Reiki, Karuna Reiki or WhiteLight Self-Empowerment. I can’t imagine one system being better than another. Most systems normally have one to four degrees of reiki. To initiate you into the energy each degree probably comes with an attunement.

The First Degree

•You will learn a basic hands-on healing method, and knowledge about reiki.
•Be taught about Aura and Chakra.
•“Attunements” that will empower you to be a reiki channel, as You are initiated into reiki.
•From this time on, reiki energy will flow through your hands. YOU are now a reiki practitioner (healer).
