Parched At Jacob’s Well

John 4:5-26- come straight down to our zionsville church to worship with us!
5 So he came to a city in Samaria called Sychar, close the plot of floor Jacob had specified to his son
Joseph. 6 Jacob’s well was there, and Jesus, drained as he was from the journey, sat straight down by the well. It

7 When a Samaritan woman came to attract water, Jesus stated to her, “Will you

him, “You are a Jew and I am a Samaritan woman. How are you able to ask me for a consume?” (For Jews don’t
associate with Samaritans.) 10 Jesus answered her, “If you knew the gift of God and who it’s that asks
you for a consume, you’d probably have asked him and he would have specified you residing water.” eleven “Sir,” the
woman stated, “you have practically nothing to attract with and the well is deep. Exactly where are you able to get this residing water?

12 Are you currently higher than our father Jacob, who gave us the well and drank from it himself, as did also his
sons and his flocks and herds?” 13 Jesus answered, “Everyone who drinks this water will be thirsty
once more, 14 but whoever drinks the water I give him will never thirst. Certainly, the water I give him will
turn out to be in him a spring of water welling up to eternal lifestyle.” 15 The woman stated to him, “Sir, give me this
water so that I won’t get thirsty and need to maintain returning right here to attract water.” 16 He informed her, “Go, call
your husband and come again.”

17 “I don’t have any husband,” she replied. Jesus stated to her, “You are correct
whenever you say you have no husband. 18 The reality is, you have had 5 husbands, and the guy you now
have is not your husband. What you have just stated is quite accurate.” 19 “Sir,” the woman stated, “I can see
that you’re a prophet. 20 Our fathers worshiped on this mountain, but you Jews declare that the spot
exactly where we must worship is in Jerusalem.”

21 Jesus declared, “Believe me, woman, a time is returning
when you’ll worship the father neither on this mountain nor in Jerusalem. 22 You Samaritans worship
what you don’t know; we worship what we do know, for salvation is from the Jews. 23 Still a time is
returning and has now come when the accurate worshipers will worship the father in spirit and truth of the matter, for they
would be the type of worshipers the father seeks.

24 God is spirit, and his worshipers must worship in spirit
and in truth of the matter.” 25 The woman stated, “I realize that Messiah” (called Christ) “is returning. When he comes, he
will explain everything to us.” 26 Then Jesus declared, “I who {speak~communicate~converse
