All About Motion Gaming

Gamers are not the same as they were in the past. Video game systems that get a person up and moving have become very popular. It is turning into a very competitive industry and although Nintendo was the original the competition is no longer sitting still as Microsoft and Sony are finding success with their own gesture based devices for controlling the companies’ respective video game consoles, the Xbox kinect 360 and PlayStation move which have recently taken the market by storm. It is a very tough battle that is being waged by the Wii, Move, and Xbox to see who will be the number one system.
The new systems are technically superior to the original Wii. They have bought the idea of high definition gaming to life. But they have also raised the bar on the price of the units and the accessories that come with them.
The manufacturers have not kept up with the supply of the individual controllers for the move and the Kinect system and because of that many people are clicking on the ads they see online that promise to show them how to get a free xbox 360 or how to enter into a contest to win a Playstation move while still others are turning to the stores and buying bundles that not only include the new motion controlled systems but also include the whole gaming console and several games that go with it. It is hard to believe how far someone has to go to make sure that they are keeping their families happy by getting them what they want.
The Wii was not well received when it was first introduced. Once people started playing it they changed their minds in a hurry. It proved popular with people of all ages. Playing simple games became a family activity that replaced board games. No matter how old or young a person was they could find common ground when using this new platform. It got people playing games who would have never considered it before.
The Nintendo system has sold more platforms than either of the other two. One thing that has made Microsoft and Sony platforms better is they have always been more realistic than the Nintendo. Now they have gotten even better.
Sony’s control system uses a camera that tracks the wireless controller. Moving their body and the joystick at the same time is translated into action on the screen. The next step is to have the games teach a person new skills. Instead of just playing a video game, the gamer can practice real life skills.
The Kinect does not require a controller. Its sensors track hands, arms and legs, as well as voices and individual faces in a variety of activities. The person becomes the controller.
Motion gaming allows a person to get more physical as they play video games. Someday soon, you might surf through TV channels with a motion gaming console. Or maybe you can become part of a movie you are watching on television. The manufacturers will keep coming up with more ways to use their consoles. They already do more than just play a simple video game. Interactive gaming will include a lot of things besides physical activity. It could take over how a person views all the entertainment in their home. At least that is their goal.
