Maybe you’re dealing with emotional pain like I used to.. If you’re in this predicament, then you’ll want to pay close attention as I reveal just how I turned things around and learned to love all my feelings.

Life really is an emotional experience. Period. Nothing holds greater importance than what you’re feeling. In fact, it’s the main motivation for all that we do.

It took me a long time to come to learn that. But once I did, my whole outlook changed, just a little. Why was that? Because healing my emotions became my number one goal. I realized once I felt good then I could most likely start doing and being anything I wanted. Plus, I had a ton of emotional pain. So finding some sort of healing technique became the main focus of my life.

And find them I did! Some worked better than others. But in this article I’d like to go over what I believe to be the first step – the best technique that everyone needs to know to get started on the journey of emotional health.

But rather than a specific action you take, instead it’s a mindset you adopt. And it’s a new way of looking at your emotions. What makes this so important? Because it will set the stage for any attempts at emotional healing you make in the future. It truly is the basic foundation for all your efforts. If your foundation is weak or faulty, then your efforts won’t be anywhere near as effective as they otherwise would be.

It’s not a matter of feeling nothing. Not at all! Instead, it’s a matter of feeling all you can. When you’re willing to feel everything, then sooner or later you’ll be able to feel whatever you want, whenever you want. This may be the greatest secret of healing your emotions. It’s certainly part of the foundation of all emotional healing techniques that really work.

I know it seems counter-intuitive and goes against everything you’ve ever heard about your feelings. We’ve all been told you’ve got to control your emotions so they don’t control you. But that’s a sucker’s game and you’re going to end up in pain if you even try.

Here’s what’s important to realize: Emotions stand as the source of your power. Emotions are powerful. And they need to flow. When you attempt to stop that flow, you’re going to get burned in some way.

When you try to control or manipulate your feelings it will leave you in emotional suffering. Instead, you want to open up the flow of emotion, and let them enter your heart. Then they can pass through you. When the flow happens and you will feel more alive and much, much happier.

Then you can practice various emotional healing techniques, if you wish. Look at it this way: Is what you’re currently trying working for you? Are you in emotional pain? If so, what have you got to lose by changing your mindset?

If it doesn’t work for you, you can always go back to whatever you were doing before to feel better. I’d say, before things get any worse, that you at least give this new mindset a try.
